The service of a hotel with the intimacy of a home.

Nine rooms with private bathrooms, made-up beds and breakfast served, like any good hotel. And none of the rest: no front desk, no schedules, no hallway neighbors. Just the group, the pool, the fire pit and the long table.

From 12 people, the whole house is blocked for you. Below that number, each group takes an independent wing.

How it works

Three wings, one house

The property is divided into three independent wings, each with its own entrance. From 12 people the whole house is blocked and the group takes it all, with no one else inside.

Below that number the house hosts at most two groups at a time, each in a different wing with its own entrance. No one shares a hallway, bathroom or room with another group; the pool, the quincho and the fire pit are shared between both.

Common areas

Where most of the trip happens

After a day out, the group comes back here. That's why the gathering spaces matter as much as the rooms.

Piscina

With a stone sun deck and chañar-tree shade. It's where the group recovers from the sun and where every excursion day ends.

Quincho

A long table under a totora-reed roof, on a carved-log structure. For meals with the whole group together.

Fogón

A stone circle with seating all around. Works just as well for a night of conversation as for a ceremony.

Outdoor lounge

Low seating with northern textiles, in the shade under string lights. The meeting point as evening falls.

Rest tent

A platform with mats under a totora cover, next to the pool. A corner for napping, reading or open-air practice.

Indoor living room

For the desert's cold nights, when the temperature swing pushes everyone indoors.

The house works when it's full

Everything else is designed for that: the long table, the pool with its shallow step for kids, the fire pit with seating around it, and shaded spots throughout the grounds.

Rooms

Each with its own color

Nine rooms, all with private bathrooms. They're set up as single, double or triple depending on how the group travels, so the same house hosts a family with kids or twelve friends without changing configuration.

Andean textiles and looms on the walls. No two alike: the wall color is what sets them apart.

Kitchen

Our own chefs, not an outsourced service

Casa Amma has a team of professional chefs at the group's disposal. They cook at the house, with high-quality products and far from ultra-processed food, adjusting every dish to what the group needs.

And there are two separate kitchens: the team's, and another for guests. So the group can fix something whenever they want — a bottle for the baby, the kids' snack, something after an early-morning return — without depending on anyone or interrupting the service.

Restrictions and diets

Celiac disease, allergies, vegetarians, vegans, children's meals or any medical indication. It's coordinated before arrival and cooked separately when needed, without anyone eating apart from the rest.

In a group of twenty there are always three or four with some restriction. Having our own kitchen is what lets us solve it seamlessly.

San Pedro is a small town in the driest desert on Earth, and its water and power grid feels it, especially when the town fills up. Casa Amma doesn't depend on it.

These are new installations, and they're also the reason for our sustainability seal. For guests, the translation is simpler: the shower works, the power stays on and the garden stays green in January.

Minimum 6 billable people per wing. Each room takes up to 3 people and the wing is assigned by group size. The house hosts at most two groups at a time.

Ask about minimum nights in high season and holidays. Programs with excursions always come with the whole house, from 8 people, no matter how many rooms the group uses.

Before you book

Can we book if we're fewer than 12?

Yes, by booking a wing. The house hosts at most two groups, each in its own wing with an independent entrance. Full exclusivity kicks in from 12 people.

Can we book a single room?

No. The minimum unit is the whole wing. That's what guarantees no group shares a hallway, bathroom or room with strangers.

Is breakfast included?

Yes, in every format and every day. It's served earlier when the group leaves before dawn for an excursion.

Do we share the pool and quincho if there's another group?

Yes. With the house divided into wings, the pool, quincho and fire pit are shared between the two groups. Rooms, bathrooms and each wing's entrance remain private. From 12 people, the whole house is blocked and everything becomes exclusive.

Can we cook ourselves?

Yes. There's a guest kitchen, separate from the team's, available at any hour. The chefs' kitchen is for their exclusive use, for safety and service order.

Do you allow pets?

Yes, they're welcome. A one-time cleaning fee of CLP $50,000 per stay applies, regardless of the number of nights. If the pet damages something, the repair is charged separately.
